Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association
The Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) offers a variety of hockey programs for children and young adults from age five to 20 years of age. The SMHA consists of six geographic hockey zones along with a city-wide female hockey association and a city-wide Tier 1 hockey program which are used for player registration and team competition.
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2014 - 2015 SEASON WILL TAKE PLACE APRIL 15 - JUNE 15, 2014. THERE WILL BE NO FALL REGISTRATION.
DUE TO INCREASING REGISTRATION NUMBERS AND LIMITED ICE AVAILABILITY, PLAYERS SHOULD REGISTER IN THE PERIOD APRIL 15-JUNE 15, 2014 IN ORDER TO INSURE A REGISTRATION SPOT IN MINOR HOCKEY FOR THE 2014-15 HOCKEY SEASON. THIS APPLIES TO ALL AGE DIVISIONS - INITIATION THROUGH MIDGET.
THERE WILL BE NO JUNIOR C LEAGUE IN 2014-2015.
PLEASE REGISTER THROUGH YOUR ZONE WEBSITE.
UNSURE OF WHICH ZONE YOU RESIDE IN, PLEASE CLICK HERE.
All efforts will be made to place the player within their home zone but this cannot be guaranteed for late registrants (after the dates above). The zone with the greatest need for players will receive players when necessary. A $100.00 fee will be applied to those players that register after June 15th unless they are new to hockey in Saskatoon or have moved to Saskatoon after June 15th.
If a player is placed by the SMHA Registration Committee on a team in a zone other than the zone where the player resides with his/her parent(s), that player will be assigned to a team of a no higher level than Tier III. Goaltenders are EXEMPT from this rule.
WELCOME TO THE SMHA!!
